Fuel coolers yes or no - 2010/03/25 15:04 Who here runs a fuel cooler i have one but im still yet to make up my mind as to if htey work or not hope to do some back to back testing

My initial impression is that they do help with the engine setting but as for extra fuel economy i am undecided

Please lets here your thoughts on the subject
If my servo is not stuck going full throttle i am not driving

Re:Fuel coolers yes or no - 2010/03/25 21:39 Bought one 'cos it looked bling and never used it! Once my Alpha is run in I'll do a couple of runs with and a couple without and see if I notice anything. Uh oh......

Re:Fuel coolers yes or no - 2010/03/29 21:21 I have done that and i have to admit i think that they do help but not as much as i was told before i bought one
I reckon the that the difference is more to do with the throttle repsonse seems to be a little more consistant

I think that the run time increases but only by as much as about a minuite or so enough to get a lap on even the biggest of the tracks in the country

Need to do some more testing to make up my mind but if i can consistantly get over 10 minuite fuel stops i will live with that
If my servo is not stuck going full throttle i am not driving

Re:Fuel coolers yes or no - 2010/03/29 22:27 in my opinion there jst another thin that can go wrong out on the track, instead of having 2 lengths of fuel tube you now got 3, instead of fo joints (where fuel tube meets engine/exhaust/tank) you now got an extra 2 that the pipe could come off.

I have seen plenty of people drop out of races due to split fuel line by the cooler, i just dont feel its worth it.

But the above is just my opinion, not law!!!
